Ellen Ross-Musick is a tattoo apprentice and painter based in Indianapolis. She graduated from the Herron School of Art & Design in 2021 with a BFA in painting. Though her academic training was in painting, her practice spans multiple other mediums, including digital illustration and ceramics. Her work has been featured on multiple mural walls and in several gallery shows in the Indianapolis community. Her work focuses on combining abstract painterly elements with graphic or illustrative ones, and often features graphic images of flowers, bugs, and portraits.

Ellen's artistic practice is rooted in art as a therapeutic experience, and believes that anyone at any level can benefit from a creative outlet. This is true of tattooing as well, as getting tattoos has always been a very powerful and personal experience for her, allowing a fuller sense of self-expression and allowing her to feel more at home in her body. As a tattoo artist Ellen’s goal is to provide the same healing experience for her future clients.
